Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Heans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thomas Heans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Carter!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heans is looking to clinch.
No luck for Carter with that takedown attempt.
Carter shoots in looking for a takedown. Heans tries to sprawl out of it but Carter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Heans manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Carter throws a head kick that half lands.
Carter lands a head kick. Heans smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Heans moves to clinch but Carter breaks away
and Carter counters with a nice uppercut.
Heans really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Carter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Heans avoids it really well and circles away.

Carter lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Heans keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carter's efforts to push away.

Carter is trying to pull guard but Heans turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Carter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Heans smiles and moves away.

Carter tightens his grip and picks Heans up, before dumping him to the ground. Heans manages to land in guard.

Heans avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Carter works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, if Carter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Carter stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Heans to get to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Carter counters with a series of strikes. Heans will be more careful next time no doubt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like John Carter has been cut.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Heans just misses with a elbow thrown towards Carter's brow.

Carter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Heans looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Carter is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Heans with him. Heans is trying to defend but Carter has an arm under the chin now! Heans grimaces and is forced to tap out!
