Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maksim Shestakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Slugger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shestakov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Slugger uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Slugger closes the distance and clinches.
Slugger is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Slugger is trying to break the clinch but Shestakov is controlling him.
Shestakov is trying to pull guard but Slugger has him pressed against the cage.

Slugger gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Shestakov working a defensive guard but Slugger manages to pass into side control anyway.

Slugger creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Shestakov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Slugger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Slugger slows the pace down.
Slugger is working to tighten is grip on Shestakov's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Shestakov has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Slugger is really squeezing tight and eventually Shestakov passes out! Slugger breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
