Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele comes into the arena with Lil Wayne-Drop the World blaring out of the sound system. Lee has chosen I Am Perfection by Cage 9 as his entrance music. Ricky Lee has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ben Steele's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 21 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ben Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ricky Lee!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele throws a combination that misses
enabling Lee to counter with a crisp jab.
Lee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steele.
Lee lands a slapping body shot.
Lee scores with a jab to the jaw.
Lee slips a jab and a cross from Steele.
Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Steele misses the shot to the body.
Steele throws a shot from downtown. Lee moves away and avoids it.
Steele throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lee with a hook.
Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Steele.
Steele stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lee misses the jab.
Steele throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lee scores with a sloppy right hand. Steele should have avoided that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steele misses with a double jab

and Lee counters with a shoot takedown. Steele fights it but they end up in guard.
Steele wants to stand but Lee is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee chips away with some ground and pound.
Steele is looking to stand up but Lee isn't so interested in that idea.
Lee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Steele works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lee stopping the sweep attempt from Steele.
Lee throwing strikes but missing.
Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steele. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lee works over Steele with some ground and pound from guard.

Lee wants to pass the guard but Steele is keeping the position.
Lee throws a big elbow that misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steele wants to sweep here but Lee controlling him for the moment.
Steele working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lee.
Steele utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lee throwing strikes but missing.

Lee lands a couple of digs.

It looks like Ben Steele has been cut.
Lee throwing strikes but missing.
Steele avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Steele lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lee!

Steele working for a guillotine from mount but Lee is in no mood to give up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lee can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lee is trying to stand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lee tries to lock up and control but Steele gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Steele throwing strikes here but Lee is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Lee is trying to stand.
Steele is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lee can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Lee is squirming around, avoiding Steele's attempts to control the action.

Steele goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lee turns into him and now he's in Steele's guard.
Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lee throws a big elbow that misses.
Lee passes Steele's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricky Lee dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ben Steele's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Steele shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense.

Lee closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Steele did well to prevent Lee getting side control.

Steele is looking to control Lee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Steele avoid being mounted?
Lee thows a huge punch but Steele dodges it nicely.
Lee not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Steele wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.
Lee is trying to control. Steele wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Lee throws a strike but Steele manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Lee tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ben Steele!
Ben Steele decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
