Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Ramos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leo Barros!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barros stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Barros wants it to stay on the feet.
Ramos is trying hard to land a takedown here. Barros sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Barros has a takedown stuffed.
Ramos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barros moves away.

Ramos shoots in and gets a takedown into Barros's guard.
Barros trying to keep a closed guard but Ramos is proving a slippery customer.
Ramos content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Barros looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barros controls Ramos momentarily but Ramos frees himself.
Ramos trying to control but Barros is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramos lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Barros is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ramos is aware though and is defending well.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ramos's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Barros not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ramos landing some decent shots from guard.
Barros can't keep his opponent in guard - Ramos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ground and pound from Ramos.

Ramos moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Barros.
Ramos connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Barros some visible discomfort.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ramos tries to move to mount but Barros blocks the move with his legs.
Barros tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ramos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ramos controls the position.
Ramos throws an elbow but Barros slips to the side and avoids it well.

Ramos is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Barros is trying to escape and Ramos transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Barros is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ramos! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mark Ramos!
Mark Ramos seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
