The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a nice looking combination but Hashimoto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hashimoto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hashimoto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hashimoto throws a push kick but Hill slaps the foot to one side.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hill looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hashimoto sprawls well. Hashimoto wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hill gets slowly back to his feet.

After the fight, Shinya Hashimoto was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
