Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kalle Kinkeri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre LePew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LePew has chosen Dirty House as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre LePew!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LePew throws out a loose jab but Kinkeri uses good head movement to avoid it.
LePew takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like Pierre LePew has been cut.

Kinkeri throws a sloppy head kick and LePew moves out of range easily.
A telegraphed right hand from LePew misses the target.
LePew moves out of range as Kinkeri throws a body kick.
Kinkeri throws a hook to the side of LePew's head but LePew sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kinkeri looks to score with a jab to the body but LePew is just out of range.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
LePew is looking for a sweep. Kinkeri is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kalle Kinkeri.
LePew shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kinkeri sprawls well. Kinkeri wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. LePew gets slowly back to his feet.

LePew throws a leg kick which misses Kinkeri's front leg but catches the back leg as Kinkeri tries to avoid it.
No joy there for LePew, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kinkeri uses good head movement to avoid the hook from LePew.
Kalle Kinkeri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
LePew looks to score with a jab to the body but Kinkeri is just out of range.

Kinkeri rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but LePew moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

LePew feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

LePew is desperately trying to improve his position but Kinkeri has a good base and remains in mount.

Kinkeri is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because LePew is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kinkeri can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as LePew is looking to escape.

That was a close round but Kalle Kinkeri did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
