The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nomm lands a nice shot that snaps Shields's head back.
Shields fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nomm with a jab.
Nomm throws a right and a left that Shields avoids nicely.
Nomm lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

and Nomm counters with a nice uppercut.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Shields. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shields misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Shields shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Nom Nomm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shields uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nomm.
Nomm misses the shot to the body.
Nomm scores with a decent looking hook.
Nomm swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shields feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Shields is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Nomm is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Nomm has escaped and now he's on top!

Nomm would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Shields working for a triangle but Nomm defends it easily.
Nomm wants to stand but Shields has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Shields has his feet on Nomm's thighs here. He's pushed Nomm off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Nomm screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
