The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Nysen.
Joeri Nysen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lukot gets tackled into the cage by Nysen. Nysen maintains the clinch.
Nysen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lukot is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Nysen breaks from the clinch.
Nysen throws a series of punches but Lukot moves out of range.
Nysen shoots in for a double leg but Lukot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Lukot is looking to control Nysen's arms but Nysen gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lukot has his back to the cage.
Nysen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Nysen manages to break the clinch.
Nysen avoids the body shot from Lukot.
Nysen misses with a two punch combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nysen.

and Lukot decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nysen's guard.

Lukot has gone for a leg lock! Nysen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lukot's guard.
Lukot pulls Nysen in close to his closed guard and prevents Nysen from doing any damage or advancing position.
