Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Epping!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Menno Menno!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Menno forces Epping back against the cage and clinches.
Epping using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

It looks like Menno Menno has been cut.
Epping putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Menno in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Epping unloads a knee to the mid-section. Menno lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Menno wants to take the fight to the mat but Epping manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Menno gets control of Epping's arms and successfully pulls guard. Menno will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jake Epping.
Menno shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Epping sprawls well. Epping wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Menno gets slowly back to his feet.

Menno tries to keep at a distance but Epping has taken the fight into the clinch.

Epping lands a left hand that snaps the head of Menno backwards.

Menno tries for a takedown but Epping manages to get underhooks.

Menno changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Epping fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Menno shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Epping sprawls well. Epping wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Menno gets slowly back to his feet.
Jake Epping seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Horrible takedown by Menno or perhaps it was just good defense by Epping which made him look bad.
Menno stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Epping.
Epping tries to clinch but Menno moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's time! Epping's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Epping wants to clinch.
Epping throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Menno steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Epping. That one must have hurt.
Epping scores with a leg kick.
Epping cracks the inside of Menno's front leg.
Epping misses the jab.

Epping throws a body punch but Menno moves out of range.
Epping tries to clinch up.
Epping tries to clinch up but Menno circles away and keeps his distance.
Jake Epping is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Menno lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Epping backs up against the cage.
Menno looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Epping buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Epping throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

and Menno counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Menno prevents Epping from improving his position.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Menno Menno hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Menno keeps the fight on the outside.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Menno tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Epping defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Menno.
Menno shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Epping but Epping pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Epping buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Epping lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Menno crumples to the floor! Epping milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
