Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Taylor Willams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruger is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tnt. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Taylor Willams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Kruger!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kruger closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kruger lands strikes from half guard.
Willams is looking for a sweep. Kruger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Willams wants to control but Kruger is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Willams looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kruger working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kruger connects with a nice short shot to Willams's temple.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kruger lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Kruger tries to pass to full mount but Willams defends it.

Willams is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kruger pulls his head out easily.

Let's hope that Kruger has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kruger is looking to advance position but Willams won't allow it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Willams is letting Kruger control him for a moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Willams is looking for a sweep.
Willams is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kruger off and has taken his back!
Kruger tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Kruger dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Kruger swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Willams connects with a solid leg kick.
Willams fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kruger checks it well.
Kruger avoids the head kick by Willams.
Willams tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Kruger counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kruger.

Kruger with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
John Kruger has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kruger stands up from Willams's guard - Kruger perhaps looking for a knockout.
Willams closes the distance looking to clinch

and Kruger counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kruger in particular looking to stall.

Kruger drops an elbow to the side of Willams's head.
Kruger landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Kruger is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Willams!

BOOM! Kruger connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Willams is rocked!
Kruger lands a big elbow - Willams is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Willams is forced to tap out!

An out of breath John Kruger thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
