Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Unigu Rege (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rege feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nunes.

Nunes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nunes wants it to stay on the feet.
Rege will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rege tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nunes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rege somewhat.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Rege moves out of range of the body kick from Nunes.
Nunes throws a right hand that Rege ducks under and follows up with a left that Rege also avoids with ease.

Nunes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nunes.

Unigu Rege is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Rege shoots for a double leg takedown but Nunes sprawls well. He's pushed Rege's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
