PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Polish Engineer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jerry Mouse!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouse doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Engineer counters with a stiff right hand.
Engineer misses with the combination.
Engineer throws a jab but it's blocked by Mouse.
Mouse tries for a takedown but Engineer circles away easily
enabling Engineer to counter with a crisp jab.
Engineer throws a shot from downtown. Mouse moves away and avoids it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Some wild striking there from Engineer.
Mouse takes one to the chin there.
Engineer throws a push kick but Mouse slaps the foot to one side.
Engineer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Engineer connects with the punch.
Engineer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mouse was well out of range. Poor timing from Engineer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Engineer fails to land with a series of punches.
Mouse has his takedown stuffed
and Engineer counters with a left to the body.
Polish Engineer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Mouse.
Engineer swings widly with a right hand

and Mouse counters with a single leg into guard. Engineer didn't expect that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Engineer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mouse trying to control the position from guard on top but Engineer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Engineer trying to keep a closed guard but Mouse is proving a slippery customer.

Mouse throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Mouse looking to sit in guard and control but Engineer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mouse looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Engineer is defending well. Mouse quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Engineer has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Mouse celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
