Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Goa Goa!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goa gets the takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kenji is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kenji gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Goa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kenji's head.
Goa scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kenji has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Goa is working away from the top position though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Goa lands a couple of digs.
Goa postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Kenji covers up, he's hurt! Goa keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Goa and the ref steps in to end the fight! Goa can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Goa Goa!
After the fight, Goa Goa was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
