PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilfredo Cacho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cacho comes to the cage accompanied by I Fink U Freeky. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Lee!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cacho misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cacho circles away from the clinch attempt
and Lee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Michael Lee has been cut.
Cacho avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Cacho manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lee takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lee tries to clinch there but Cacho circles away.
Cacho throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lee ducks under a wild hook from Cacho.
Cacho feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lees jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cacho swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Lee misses with a series of wild punches.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Cacho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lee wants to clinch up but Cacho keeps it at a distance.
Michael Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Cacho counters with a one-two to the body.
Lee throws a body kick that misses.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cacho swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lee throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Cacho throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lee tries to clinch but Cacho moves out of range.

and Cacho counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lee lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Cacho can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Lee and Cacho drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Lee.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Lee!
Michael Lee decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
