Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barbados Slim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Darnielle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darnielle misses with the combination.
Slim uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Darnielle.
Slim lands with an overhand left.
Darnielle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Darnielle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Slim, pushing him back against the cage.

Slim gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Darnielle is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Slim pulls his head out easily.
Darnielle is looking to improve his position.
Darnielle wants to control but Slim is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Slim is looking to take a break and control but Darnielle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Darnielle preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Darnielle wants to get back to his feet.
Slim seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Darnielle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slim is trying to control. Darnielle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Barbados Slim has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Slim misses the target.
A bone on bone clash there as Slim blocks the leg kick.
Darnielle thuds a left hand into Slim's body.
Slim keeps the fight on the outside.
Darnielle fails with an attempt to clinch.
A big right from Slim misses.

Darnielle moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Darnielle tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Slim manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Slim blocks a jab.
Darnielle fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Slim has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Darnielle moves into range and clinches up with Slim.
Darnielle lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Slim backwards.
Darnielle gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Slim.
Darnielle controlling the action here for a moment.

Slim is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Darnielle gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Slim changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Darnielle fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barbados Slim. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Darnielle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Slim blocks a low kick nicely.
Darnielle fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Slim.
Slim takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Darnielle is looking to clinch.

Darnielle moves into the clinch successfully.
Slim wants a takedown but no success here.
Slim tries to score a body lock takedown but Darnielle shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Darnielle gets underhooks to prevent Slim's takedown attempt.
Slim has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Darnielle is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Slim is breathing heavily.
Darnielle creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Slim's defenses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Slim can't get the takedown.
A shot in the inside from Darnielle.
Darnielle lands a hook to the side of the head.
Darnielle lands a left hand that snaps the head of Slim backwards.
Darnielle is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Darnielle lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Darnielle jumps guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Slim avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Slim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Darnielle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slim has managed to get both his arms back between Darnielle's legs - danger averted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Darnielle dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Darnielle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Slim scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Darnielle wants to clinch.
Darnielle connects with a solid leg kick.
Slim fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Darnielle wants to slow Slim down by chopping away at his legs.
Darnielle connects with a leg kick. Slim looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Darnielle fails with an attempt to clinch.
Darnielle throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Slim.
Slim misses with a takedown attempt - Darnielle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Slim lunges at Darnielle with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Darnielle's hand.
Darnielle scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Darnielle lands a big head kick that sends Slim tumbling to the mat! Darnielle takes a step backwards and waves Slim back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Slim is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Darnielle throws a monster overhand right that drops Slim! Darnielle follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
