Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Poor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lier Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Killer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Poor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Killer closes the distance and clinches up with Poor, looking for a takedown. Killer pushes Poor against the cage but Poor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Poor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Poor drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Killer is adopting a defensive guard.
Killer keeping moving, preventing Poor from controlling successfully.
Killer trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Killer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Poor defends it easily.
Poor pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Killer is keeping the position for now.

Poor is looking to work some ground and pound but Killer has wrist control.
Poor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Killer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Poor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Killer pulls Poor in to control the position.
Poor wants to stand but Killer has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Poor trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Poor trying to control the position from guard on top but Killer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Poor feints and as Killer raises his hands in defense, Poor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Poor is pushing down on Killer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Killer is fighting to maintain full guard but Poor has managed to sneak the leg through.
Poor is trying to control. Killer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Killer gets back to full guard.
Killer will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Poor throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Poor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Killer controls Poor momentarily but Poor frees himself.

Poor bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Poor tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Killer can't do much from the bottom here.
Killer manages to get back to half guard.
Killer is controlling Poor's trapped leg to prevent Poor from advancing to side control.
The fighters are battling for position here. Killer manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Killer scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Killer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Poor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Poor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Killer tries to avoid it but Poor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Killer to the ground. Killer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Poor might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

James Poor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lier Killer.

Killer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Poor to the mat! Poor manages to get full guard.

Poor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Killer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Killer stands up over Poor, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Killer trying to control the position from guard on top but Poor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Poor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Killer on the ground.

Killer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Poor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Killer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Killer dives in and grabs Poor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Poor pushes down on Killer's head and hops out.
Killer wants to clinch up but Poor keeps it at a distance.

Lier Killer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
