Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Din Menezes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen Dani California as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Menezes avoids it really well and circles away.
Menezes misses with a wild combination.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Menezes napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Menezes sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Diaz decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Menezes tries to clinch but Diaz is having none of it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Diaz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Menezes - the referee stops the clock and Diaz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Menezes. Diaz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Diaz misses with a low kick as Menezes jumps back.

Menezes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Menezes wants it to stay on the feet.
Diaz misses the shot to the body.
Menezes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Diaz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Menezes tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Diaz is in Menezes's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Menezes gets to his feet. Diaz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Din Menezes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Diaz.
Menezes connects with a high kick.

Menezes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Diaz sprawls well. Diaz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Menezes gets slowly back to his feet.
Diaz takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Menezes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Diaz to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Menezes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Diaz defends well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Menezes has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Diaz doesn't defend quickly enough and Menezes has managed to lock this one up! Can Diaz escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Menezes on a fantastic submission victory.
