Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dougie Diablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gubot Lukot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dougie Diablo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dougie Diablo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lukot defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diablo.
Diablo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lukot gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lukot throws a poor cross that misses
and Diablo counters with a straight right hand.
Diablo shoots in for a takedown but Lukot shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Diablo throws a hook but Lukot avoids it easily.
Diablo shoots in for a double leg but Lukot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dougie Diablo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Diablo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lukot's waist but Lukot gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diablo off to one side.

Diablo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Diablo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lukot but Lukot pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Lukot is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diablo is just riding it out for now. Lukot eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lukot seems to be working for a kimura but Diablo defends the submission attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lukot seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diablo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lukot displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Diablo.
Diablo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lukot to the ground. Diablo is now in Lukot's guard.
Lukot has his foot on Diablo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Diablo works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lukot cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lukot has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Diablo's face.

Lukot swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Diablo is now in Lukot's guard. A big mistake from Lukot there, giving up the dominant position!

Gubot Lukot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Diablo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lukot tries to avoid it but Diablo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lukot to the ground. Lukot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Diablo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lukot counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Diablo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lukot is looking to advance position but Diablo won't allow it.
Lukot has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Diablo defend it? Lukot steps over the head and cranks it - Diablo is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lukot!
