The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DArcangeli looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dutch is fending him off so far but DArcangeli persists. Nope, Dutch circles away and we're back to standing.
DArcangeli fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dutch avoids it really well and circles away.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dutch lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and DArcangeli has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from DArcangeli and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
DArcangeli will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dark Dutch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek DArcangeli.
DArcangeli shoots in for a takedown but Dutch shows good takedown defense.

DArcangeli shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dutch pinned against the cage. Dutch gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

DArcangeli tries to score a body lock takedown but Dutch shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dutch breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

No luck with that takedown attempt from DArcangeli.
DArcangeli shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dutch but Dutch pushes him off and we're back to square one.
DArcangeli shoots in but no luck this time.
DArcangeli takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Dutch scores with a jab to the jaw.
Dutch connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
DArcangeli tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dutch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten DArcangeli somewhat.
Derek DArcangeli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DArcangeli looks for a takedown but Dutch sprawls well.
Dark Dutch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
DArcangeli has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dutch finds it's way round the side to connect with DArcangeli's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Dutch counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks DArcangeli badly! He tries to strike back but Dutch puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks DArcangeli out cold! Oh man, DArcangeli will never hear the end of this one!
