The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz misses with a looping right.
Groove tries to clinch there but Ortiz circles away.
Ortiz connects with a body shot.
Ortiz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Groove.
Ortiz scores with a three punch combo!
Ortiz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ortiz throws a body punch but Groove moves out of range.
Ortiz ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ortiz throws a right hand that Groove ducks under and follows up with a left that Groove also avoids with ease.

Groove fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Ortiz loads up on a big right hand but Groove slips the punch.
Groove shoots and misses
and Ortiz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Groove is looking to clinch but Ortiz is avoiding it.
Ortiz lands a really nice looking cross but Groove seems unphased.
Groove slips a jab from Ortiz.
Ortiz lands with an overhand left.
Groove fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ortiz lands with a right hand.
Ortiz lands a right hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ortiz. Groove does a little dance to reset his feet.

Groove tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ortiz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Ortiz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Ortiz counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

It looks like Kendall Groove has been cut.
Ortiz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Oh Groove is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ortiz cracks Groove on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Groove falls backwards against the cage. Ortiz follows up with more strikes that drop Groove to his knees. Ortiz keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Groove! This one is all over!
