The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods looks for the body kick but Mendazedora saw that one coming.
Woods blocks a leg kick.
Woods misses with a takedown attempt - Mendazedora sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Mendazedora counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Mendazedora throws a chopping leg kick but Woods manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mendazedora tries to land a front kick but Woods steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Mendazedora is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mendazedora lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Woods has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Woods and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Woods shoots in but Mendazedora avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
