Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Kingsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toni Preteni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingsley's entrance music is The Power. A fine choice. Robert Kingsley has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Preteni tries to close the distance and clinch but Kingsley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kingsley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Preteni but Preteni pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Kingsley counters with a single leg into guard. Preteni didn't expect that.
Preteni wants to stand up but Kingsley is controlling him.
Preteni is looking to stand back up but Kingsley counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Preteni.
Kingsley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Preteni wants to get back to his feet.
Kingsley wants to take a breather but Preteni is having none of it.
Kingsley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kingsley is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Preteni doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kingsley.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kingsley connects with a nice short shot to Preteni's temple.

Kingsley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Preteni with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


The fight stays on the outside here - Preteni looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kingsley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Preteni tries to avoid it but Kingsley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Preteni to the ground. Preteni escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
