PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Bosco o Neill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fat Face two (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). o Neill comes to the ring accompanied by bring out the gimp. The crowd seem to be enjoying Face two's choice of entrance music: Cake. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fat Face two!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
o Neill misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
o Neill misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
o Neill checks a low kick from Face two.
o Neill misses with a wild combination.
Face two throws a leg kick
and o Neill counters with a head kick. That will keep Face two thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
o Neill tries a head kick but it misses.
o Neill with a nice cross.
o Neill checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
No joy there for o Neill, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
o Neill lands a leg kick that knocks Face two off balance momentarily.
Face two tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and o Neill is able to avoid easily.
Face two fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
o Neill tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

It looks like Bosco o Neill has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
o Neill looks to land a combination but Face two avoids it well.
o Neill throws a head kick that misses.

Face two misses with a straight left.
Face two does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
o Neill takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Face two is trying to force a seperation but o Neill has the dominant position.
o Neill blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
o Neill lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Face two backwards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Face two escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Face two.
o Neill swings wildly with an uppercut but Face two uses good head movement to avoid it.
o Neill lands a hook that snaps the head of Face two backwards.
o Neill throws an elbow that misses.
o Neill lands an elbow inside.

It looks like Fat Face two has been cut.
o Neill gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
o Neill creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
o Neill misses with an elbow strike.
o Neill lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Face two backwards.
Face two wants to break the clinch but can't.
Face two is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but o Neill is keeping busy.
o Neill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

o Neill keeps control of Face two as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Face two blocks the elbow strike.
o Neill has Face two pressed against the ropes, preventing Face two from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

o Neill gets through Face two's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Face two wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

o Neill creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Face two wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but o Neill has him pressed against the ropes.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, o Neill creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
o Neill lands an elbow inside that Face two shrugs off.
Face two misses with a hook to the ribs.
o Neill looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Face two wants to get back to striking at distance but o Neill won't allow it.

o Neill lands an elbow inside that Face two shrugs off.
o Neill keeps control of Face two as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
o Neill misses with an elbow over the top.
Face two avoids the elbow strike from o Neill, against the ropes.
o Neill comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Face two has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, o Neill just misses with a elbow thrown towards Face two's brow.

o Neill gets through Face two's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
o Neill scores with a nice hook to the head.

Face two wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but o Neill has him pressed against the ropes.
o Neill lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, o Neill just misses with a elbow thrown towards Face two's brow.
Face two is still on wobbly legs! Can o Neill finish him?

o Neill throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
o Neill is holding Face two round the back of the neck and unloading with elbows! Boom, boom, boom! 3 big elbows land right to the bridge of the nose and Face two goes down! Oh, his nose is a mess! I'm not sure he's going to beat the count... 4,5,6,7,8,9,10. He's done! o Neill takes it and Face two is going to the hospital to get that nose checked out!
