Hamara has chosen Ruoska - Kiroan as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akande misses with a low kick.
Akande throws a low kick but Hamara avoids it.

Akande gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hamara.

It looks like Kasim Akande has been cut.
Akande shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hamara sprawls well. Hamara wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Akande gets slowly back to his feet.
Akande throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Hamara pivots, looking for a leg kick but Akande is out of range and Hamara settles back down.
A clash of legs there as Akande blocks the low kick.
Akande lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Hamara takes a swing at Akande's ribcage but misses.
Akande throws a hook but Hamara avoids it easily.
Hamara on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Akande shoots for a double leg takedown but Hamara sprawls well. He's pushed Akande's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kasim Akande. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Akande shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hamara pinned against the ropes. Hamara gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hamara throws a lazy right hand but Akande sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hamara fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Akande manages to avoid it.
Akande misses with a leg kick.

and Akande counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hamara's knee momentarily.
Akande looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hamara is fending him off so far but Akande persists. Nope, Hamara circles away and we're back to standing.

Akande darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hamara is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Horrible takedown by Akande or perhaps it was just good defense by Hamara which made him look bad.

Hamara shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Hamara throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hamara uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Akande.
Akande attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Hamara clobbers Akande with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hamara stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hamara batters Akande with a massive right followed by a huge left! Akande is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Hamara lands a final crushing right hand to drop Akande to the mat with a gruesome thud! Hamara is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
