The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hugo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hugo lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Riley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hugo sprawls well. Hugo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Riley gets slowly back to his feet.
Hugo misses with a takedown attempt - Riley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hugo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Riley eats them both and turns towards Hugo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Hugo gets control of Riley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hugo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hugo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Riley stacks Hugo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Riley!

The strikes coming from Riley are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Hugo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hugo dives in and grabs Riley's left leg, looking for a takedown. Riley pushes down on Hugo's head and hops out.

Well Hugo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
