The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jarvinen lands a slapping body shot.
Fields tries a head kick but it misses.
Jarvinen throws a leg kick but Fields sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jarvinen throws a lazy right hand but Fields sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jarvinen scores with a jab to the jaw.
Fields avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fields throws a sloppy body shot
and Jarvinen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fields feints and then cracks Jarvinen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jarvinen down.
Jarvinen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fields.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fields throws a sloppy head kick and Jarvinen moves out of range easily.

Fields throws a shot from downtown. Jarvinen moves away and avoids it.

Fields takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jarvinen throws out a loose jab but Fields uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fields throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jarvinen closes the distance and clinches.
Jarvinen utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Fields tries to throw a body punch but Jarvinen avoids it by throwing Fields back against the cage.

Fields breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Good shot there by Jarvinen.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fields takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jarvinen lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Fields up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Jarvinen from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Fields's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
