Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adriano De Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dixon has chosen It's A Fight by Three 6 Mafia as his entrance music. Mason Dixon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Souza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dixon's waist but Dixon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing De Souza off to one side.

De Souza drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dixon thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dixon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Dixon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

De Souza avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
De Souza is working Dixon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dixon looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Dixon goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now De Souza is on top in guard.

Well Dixon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
