PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Sypher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sasuke Uchiha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uchiha is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by forsaken. Sasuke Uchiha will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uchiha shoots and misses

and Sypher decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Uchiha's guard.
Sypher wants to stand but Uchiha is controlling his posture from full guard.
Sypher is stalling in the full guard.

Sypher decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Uchiha throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sypher's waist but Sypher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Uchiha off to one side.

Sypher looks for the body kick but Uchiha saw that one coming.

The referee warns Uchiha that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sypher wants to finish this one by submission but Uchiha is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sypher.

Sypher's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sypher looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Uchiha closes the distance but Sypher moves to the side

and Sypher counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sypher.
Uchiha can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sypher controls the pace.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Daniel Sypher.
Uchiha slips a straight right by Sypher.
Uchiha tries for a takedown but Sypher circles away easily

and Sypher counters with a nice double leg into side control. Uchiha won't be happy with that.

Sypher tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sypher has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Daniel Sypher overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sypher is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Uchiha knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Sypher stands up and beckons Uchiha to his feet.
Uchiha is breathing heavily.

Sypher clinches up against the cage.

Sypher manages to break the clinch.

Sypher gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Uchiha is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sypher is defending well.

Sypher manages to pull guard.
Sypher manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Uchiha manages to get himself to full guard.
Uchiha has momentary wrist control but Sypher slips an elbow through the middle.

Uchiha avoids the head kick by Sypher.

Sypher closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Uchiha's guard.
Sypher is working Uchiha over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Daniel Sypher.

Sypher shoots in and gets a takedown into Uchiha's guard.
Sypher controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Uchiha takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sypher changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Uchiha looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sasuke Uchiha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Sypher has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A very excited looking Daniel Sypher rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
