Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Madison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hayate Mizurugi Samuelsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuelsson has chosen Cryin Like a Bitch - Godsmack as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Hayate Mizurugi Samuelsson!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samuelsson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Madison works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Samuelsson shoots in looking for a takedown but Madison manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Samuelsson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Samuelsson shoots in but no luck this time.

The fight stays on the outside here - Madison looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Madison feints a jab promting Samuelsson to slip. Madison then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Samuelsson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Samuelsson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Madison was covering up waiting for the punch and Samuelsson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Samuelsson is pushing down on Madison's leg trying to pass to half guard. Madison is fighting to maintain full guard but Samuelsson has managed to sneak the leg through.

Samuelsson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Madison is looking to escape.

Madison got a little sloppy there for a moment and Samuelsson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Madison has managed to get both his arms back between Samuelsson's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Madison.
