Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ned Alonso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bonhomme Sept Heures!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alonso will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Ned Alonso has been cut.

Sept Heures doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Sept Heures lands a nice knee to the body.
Alonso is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Sept Heures throws a knee to the head but misses.
Alonso wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sept Heures swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Alonso tries to circle away but Sept Heures has him pinned against the cage.

Alonso tightens his grip and picks Sept Heures up, before dumping him to the ground. Sept Heures manages to land in guard.

Alonso got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sept Heures has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alonso has managed to get both his arms back between Sept Heures's legs - danger averted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alonso works a leg free and moves into half guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sept Heures tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Alonso keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sept Heures's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sept Heures fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sept Heures throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alonso's waist but Alonso gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sept Heures off to one side.
Alonso lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sept Heures circles away quickly and effectively.
Alonso leaves Sept Heures with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ned Alonso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bonhomme Sept Heures.

Ned Alonso is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sept Heures is looking to clinch but Alonso is avoiding it.

Sept Heures throws his legs up looking for a submission but Alonso uses it to pass to side control.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
