Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Denis Shlemenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quincy Obouszu!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obouszu tries to clinch up but Shlemenko circles away and keeps his distance.

Obouszu forces Shlemenko back against the cage and clinches.

Obouszu gets control of Shlemenko's arms and successfully pulls guard. Obouszu will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Shlemenko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Obouszu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shlemenko has managed to get both his arms back between Obouszu's legs - danger averted.
Obouszu keeping moving, preventing Shlemenko from controlling successfully.
Shlemenko wants to stand but Obouszu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Shlemenko is looking to work some ground and pound but Obouszu has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shlemenko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shlemenko wants to stand but Obouszu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Shlemenko wants to control from the top but Obouszu keeps moving.
Shlemenko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shlemenko wanted to stand there but Obouszu had control of the position.

Obouszu is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Shlemenko rolls with it to try and escape but Obouszu cranks on the arm and Shlemenko is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
