Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Butch Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vito Naga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Butch Gunner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vito Naga!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Naga swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Butch Gunner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gunner feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Naga's calf.
Danga de danga de dang - Gunner scores with a four punch combination!
Gunner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Naga fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gunner avoids it really well and circles away.
Nice uppercut lands for Gunner. That snapped Naga's head back.

Naga shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gunner is trying to defend but Naga finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Naga fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gunner shoots for a double leg takedown but Naga sprawls well. He's pushed Gunner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gunner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Naga slaps away a takedown attempt from Gunner, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Naga shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

It looks like Butch Gunner has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Naga lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gunner hang on?

Gunner is bucking up trying to escape but Naga cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Naga is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gunner can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Naga looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Naga throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
