Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Ddd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Suggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joseph Ddd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Suggs!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suggs keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Suggs tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ddd was well out of range. Poor timing from Suggs.
Ddd shoots in for a takedown but Suggs shows good takedown defense.
Nice uppercut lands for Suggs. That snapped Ddd's head back.


It looks like Joseph Ddd has been cut.
Ddd fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joseph Ddd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Suggs throws a head kick that misses.
Suggs scores with a leg kick.
Suggs lands a nice looking body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Suggs pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ddd is out of range and Suggs settles back down.
Suggs is looking to chop away at Ddd's legs.
A jab from Suggs does it's job there.
Ddd shoots in for a takedown but Suggs shows good takedown defense.
Ddd gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ddd.

Ddd shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Suggs napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Ddd swings around for an armbar but Suggs sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ddd's guard.
Ddd preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Suggs throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ddd works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Suggs accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ddd is trying to keep Suggs in close.
Suggs forces his way into half guard.
Suggs trying to advance position but Ddd counters by regaining guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Suggs postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Suggs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ddd is keeping the position for now.
Suggs throws an elbow that misses. Ddd uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Suggs's guard. Nice move by Ddd!
Suggs looking to control.
Ddd looking to sit in guard and control but Suggs gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Suggs throws an elbow that misses. Ddd uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Suggs's guard. Nice move by Ddd!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ddd thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Suggs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ddd. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Suggs manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ddd manages to get himself to full guard.
Suggs missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Suggs is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ddd is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ddd has escaped and now he's on top!

Ddd is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ddd passes Suggs's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ddd is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Suggs throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Ddd is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Suggs is just riding it out for now. Ddd eventually gives up the hold.

Suggs looking for submissions off his back.

Ddd seems to be looking for submissions.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ddd wants to pass to mount but Suggs is defending the position.
Ddd controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Suggs dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Joseph Ddd's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Suggs pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ddd fails with a takedown attempt.
Ddd looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Suggs is fending him off so far but Ddd persists. Nope, Suggs circles away and we're back to standing.
Suggs pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Suggs lands a right hook to the body.
Ddd shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Suggs as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joseph Ddd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Suggs feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ddd's calf.
Suggs scoring well with a low kick there.
Suggs throws a hook to the side of Ddd's head but Ddd sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Suggs rushes Ddd and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Suggs tries to land knees in the clinch but Ddd avoids the damage to the body.
Ddd takes an elbow to the forehead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ddd fails to pull guard.
Ddd takes a knee to the side of the body.
Suggs putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Ddd in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Suggs lands a damaging elbow.


Joseph Ddd's cut is getting worse.
Suggs tries to land knees in the clinch but Ddd avoids the damage to the body.
Ddd takes an elbow to the temple.


Joseph Ddd's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Suggs gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Suggs putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Ddd in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ddd blocks the elbow strike.
Ddd takes a knee to the side of the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Knees to the body from Suggs.
Suggs creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ddd's defenses.


Jeez, Joseph Ddd's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joseph Ddd's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Matt Suggs!
