The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Hurt. No joy for Williams on that attempt.
Hurt scores with a jab to the jaw.
Hurt lands an overhand right.
Hurt looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.
Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hurt connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Williams momentarily.
Williams shoots in and drives through. Hurt sprawls well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jab by Hurt.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hurt.
Hurt avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hurt stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ieuan Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hurt scores with a jab. Williams acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hurt tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hurt to the ground. Hurt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Williams is breathing heavily.
Hurt rushes Williams with punches - Williams moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Williams goes down! Hurt follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kurt Hurt!
Post fight, Kurt Hurt took to the microphone: 'Oh, is he hurt?'.
