Armstrong comes to the cage accompanied by Clutch - The Regulator. Andrew Armstrong could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Catfish Davis's chin.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong throws a series of punches but Davis avoids them all with ease.
Armstrong throws a right hand that Davis ducks under and follows up with a left that Davis also avoids with ease.
Armstrong on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Davis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Armstrong throws a left and a right that both miss
and Davis counters with a nice uppercut.


It looks like Andrew Armstrong has been cut.
Armstrong fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Davis doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Davis closes the distance and clinches.

Davis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Armstrong closes the distance and pushes Davis back into the cage.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Catfish Davis hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Davis closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Armstrong quickly recovers to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Davis postures up in Armstrong's guard and throws a big left but Armstrong blocks it.

Davis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Armstrong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Andrew Armstrong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Armstrong is looking to clinch.

Armstrong gets tackled into the cage by Davis. Davis maintains the clinch.

Davis drags the fight down to the ground.

Davis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Armstrong!

Armstrong's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Armstrong's face.

Armstrong is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Armstrong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davis on the ground.
Armstrong holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Davis tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Davis unloads with some shots from mount but Armstrong bucks and avoids them well.
Davis sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Davis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Armstrong looks a forlorn figure.

Davis is working for a guillotine from mount but Armstrong frees his head quite easily.

Davis unloads with some shots from mount but Armstrong bucks and avoids them well.

Armstrong is rocked!
Davis cracks Armstrong with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
