Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eldon Larex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conner Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eldon Larex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Conner Kent!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Larex. Kent does a little dance to reset his feet.
Larex lands an overhand right.
Larex scores with a hook.
Conner Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kent feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kent lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kent loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kent is looking to work some ground and pound but Larex has wrist control.
Larex will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kent accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kent cracks Larex with a solid left hand.
Kent wants to control from the top but Larex keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kent lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Larex is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kent scores with a couple of nice shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kent throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Larex on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Kent lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Kent thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Kent moves nicely into side control.
Kent takes a little break here. Larex wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kent throws a strike aimed at the side of Larex's head but Larex avoids it well.
Larex takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Kent has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kent connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Larex some visible discomfort.
Kent in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kent working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Kent is working Larex over with some ground and pound from side control.


Larex is rocked!
Kent lands a nice forearm strike.
Oh Larex is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kent trying to control the position but Larex is working away.
Larex takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Larex takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Kent lands a strong strike to the head of Larex. That's dazed him! Kent looking to finish here. Larex is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Kent lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Conner Kent!
An out of breath Conner Kent thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
