The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atomic takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Stimpson throws a head kick but Atomic moves out of range.
Atomic goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stimpson thuds a left hand into Atomic's body.
Atomic is looking to clinch.
Stimpson instigates a clinch.
Stimpson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Stimpson stalling in the clinch but Atomic improves position.
Stimpson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Atomic throws a head kick that misses.
Atomic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Stimpson throws a sloppy head kick and Atomic moves out of range easily.
A shot to the liver by Atomic. Beautiful body shot.
Atomic throws out a leg kick but Stimpson moves out of range and Atomic only half commits.
Atomic looks for the body kick but Stimpson saw that one coming.
Stimpson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dave Stimpson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stimpson tries a head kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stimpson jabs Atomic right on the nose. Atomic blinks but takes it well.
Atomic throws a body punch but Stimpson moves out of range.

enabling Stimpson to counter with a crisp jab.
Dave Stimpson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stimpson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Atomic if he has to take too many more of those.
Stimpson blocks a head kick by Atomic.
Stimpson works the jab nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stimpson misses with a series of wild punches.
Atomic looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Atomic misses with a kick to the body.
Atomic tries to clinch there but Stimpson circles away.
Stimpson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Stimpson blocks a head kick by Atomic.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stimpson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stimpson connects with a single shot there.
Atomic bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Stimpson's head.
Stimpson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stimpson tries to move into range but Atomic moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Atomic waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stimpson.
Atomic keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stimpson gets tackled into the ropes by Atomic. Atomic maintains the clinch.
Stimpson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Atomic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Atomic's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stimpson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Atomic scrambles back to his feet.
Atomic throws a shot from downtown. Stimpson moves away and avoids it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stimpson blocks a head kick by Atomic.
Stimpson lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Atomic goes down! The ref sends Stimpson to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Atomic is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!
Atomic is rocked!
It looks like Tom Atomic has been cut.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Stimpson engages and cracks Atomic with a massive lead left hook - Atomic tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Stimpson is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dave Stimpson!
