The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferreria looking to score a takedown here. Paul is defending well but Ferreria drives through and ends up in Paul's guard.
Paul wants to stand and escape but Ferreria is having none of it.

Paul escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferreria gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Paul wants to sweep but no luck.
Ferreria pushing down on Paul's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Ferreria thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Paul's head.
Paul tries to get to full guard but Ferreria has control of the leg.
Ferreria is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Paul!
Paul is desperately trying to improve his position but Ferreria has a good base and remains in mount.
Ferreria lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Ferreria looking to control but Paul is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Ferreria tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Paul looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Paul tries to escape but Ferreria has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Ferreria is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Paul with him. Paul is trying to defend but Ferreria has an arm under the chin now! Paul grimaces and is forced to tap out!
