Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua cracks Milliner with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rua dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rua lands a jab to Milliner's midsection.
Milliner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rua as he avoids it easily.

Milliner shoots in and bounces Rua off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Milliner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Rua wants to stand and escape but Milliner is having none of it.

Milliner drops back looking for a leg! Rua is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rua manages to kick Milliner off! Milliner jumps back into Rua's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rua can do anything to dispel that myth.
Milliner tries to free his leg and advance position but Rua is retaining full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Milliner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Milliner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rua is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Milliner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Milliner has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rua is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Milliner.
Rua postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Rua lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Milliner down.

Milliner is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rua has his hands clasped together but Milliner extends an breaks Rua's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Milliner.
