PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Cam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew McRaylen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Andrew McRaylen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Cam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrew McRaylen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cam tries to clinch

and McRaylen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cam!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McRaylen keeps the fight on the outside.

McRaylen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cam tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McRaylen is in Cam's guard.
Cam utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McRaylen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McRaylen looking to sit in guard and control but Cam gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Andrew McRaylen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

McRaylen gets tackled into the cage by Cam. Cam maintains the clinch.
Cam gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
McRaylen avoiding damage as Cam throws knees to the body.

McRaylen wants to control the pace but Cam is squirming around nicely.
McRaylen throws a wild left hand from mount and Cam manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
James Cam has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

McRaylen is looking for a kimura but Cam is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McRaylen to get the leverage.

I would just about give that final round to Andrew McRaylen.
I've got McRaylen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
