Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Norman Vizcarra!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a lazy right hand but Vizcarra sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vizcarra scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
James tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
James throws a sloppy head kick and Vizcarra moves out of range easily.
James throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
James pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vizcarra plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Vizcarra thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on James if he has to take too many more of those.
Vizcarra uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Vizcarra with a nice cross.
A head kick misses from James.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A punch combination from James misses.
James takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
James takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vizcarra lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Vizcarra blocks a head kick by James.
Vizcarra lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Vizcarra throws a combination. James tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
James misses with a double jab.
Vizcarra scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops James to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
James is breathing heavily.
James walks into a left hand.
James is rocked!
Vizcarra weaves into range and cracks James right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! James goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Vizcarra is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Norman Vizcarra!
