Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Schulte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark has chosen Lamb of God- One Gun as his entrance music. Brian Schulte could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Joe Clark's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Schulte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Clark!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark throws a lazy uppercut
and Schulte counters with a straight right hand.
Clark misses with a hook.
Schulte misses with a body shot.
Joe Clark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clark darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Schulte with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Clark scores with a hook.
Clark throws an overhand right that lands on Schulte's shoulder, as Schulte tries to avoid the shot.
The fighters circling - Clark throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Schulte thuds a left hand into Clark's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Clark throws a jab when Schulte was well out of range.
Schulte ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Clark moves away.
Clark tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Schulte paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Clark smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Clark takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Schulte throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Clark's waist but Clark gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schulte off to one side.

Clark moves into the clinch.
Schulte prevents Clark from breaking the clinch.

Clark pushes Schulte back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Clark misses with a hook to the ribs.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Schulte lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Clark wants to get back to his feet.
Schulte content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Schulte has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Schulte thows a huge punch but Clark dodges it nicely.
Clark regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Schulte.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Brian Schulte.
Schulte connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Clark's hands.


It looks like Joe Clark has been cut.
Schulte is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Schulte scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Clark is looking to clinch but Schulte is avoiding it.
Schulte fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Joe Clark wasn't active enough on the ground.

Clark might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Schulte wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.
Schulte seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
