With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Odin Raveneye!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferdinand shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ferdinand showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ferdinand throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferdinand is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Raveneye has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ferdinand wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Raveneye, who protects the arm well.
Ferdinand wants to lay and pray for a moment but Raveneye keeps working.
Raveneye tries to buck Ferdinand off but Ferdinand is having none of it.

Ferdinand tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Raveneye tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ferdinand wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Ferdinand thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Raveneye manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ferdinand's best efforts.
Raveneye manages to get to full guard.
Raveneye looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Raveneye keeping moving, preventing Ferdinand from controlling successfully.

Raveneye wants to stand but Ferdinand is controlling the position.
Raveneye really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferdinand. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Raveneye displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ferdinand.
Raveneye throws a looping overhand right but Ferdinand ducks down to avoid it.

Ferdinand is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Raveneye's half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raveneye can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ferdinand in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Raveneye tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Ferdinand!

Bob Ferdinand was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
