Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Baron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wsciekle Piesci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piesci has chosen Waldemar Kasta - Głos as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wsciekle Piesci!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baron shoots in for a takedown but Piesci shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Piesci misses the shot to the body.
Piesci stuffs the takedown.
Baron shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Piesci sprawls well. Piesci wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Baron gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Baron. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Piesci throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Baron fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Robert Baron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Baron closes the distance and clinches up with Piesci, looking for a takedown. Baron pushes Piesci against the cage but Piesci circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Baron tries for a takedown but Piesci sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Baron keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Piesci swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Piesci ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Baron moves away.
Baron fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Piesci avoids it really well and circles away.
Baron staying out of range there.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Baron.
Piesci throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Baron takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Baron shoots in and drives through. Piesci sprawls well.
Piesci lands a nice looking body shot.
Baron fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Baron takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Baron shoots in looking for a takedown. Piesci tries to sprawl out of it but Baron keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Piesci manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Piesci connects with a right hand. Baron shakes it off.
Baron shoots in for a takedown but Piesci shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Piesci scores with a jab to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Piesci throws a jab when Baron was well out of range.
Baron fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Baron is defended easily by Piesci.
Piesci lands with a good body shot.
Piesci cracks Baron with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Baron on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Piesci stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Piesci wants it to stay on the feet.
Wsciekle Piesci is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Baron blocks a jab.
Piesci scores with the left hand. Baron knows he should have avoided that one.

Baron shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Piesci napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Piesci is not content to let Baron control the position.
Piesci is pushing Baron's head away, looking to escape. Baron manages to hold on to the position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Baron tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Baron has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Piesci wants to get back to his feet.

Baron in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Piesci is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Robert Baron!
