Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Roosmalen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefan Roosmalen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Clark!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Roosmalen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Clark moves away.
Clark moves out of range as Roosmalen strikes.
Roosmalen misses with a low kick.
Roosmalen tries to land a front kick but Clark steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Clark counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Roosmalen!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Roosmalen is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Roosmalen is working hard here to advance position.
Clark punching from mount but Roosmalen doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Roosmalen is in all sorts of trouble here.

Clark tries to control but Roosmalen wriggling away.

Clark has hold of Roosmalen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Roosmalen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Roosmalen is trying to escape the mount.

Clark goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Roosmalen turns into him and now he's in Clark's guard.

Roosmalen trying to control the position from guard on top but Clark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Stefan Roosmalen.

Stefan Roosmalen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roosmalen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Roosmalen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Roosmalen motions for Clark to come forward. Roosmalen throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Roosmalen throws a body kick that misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Clark moves out of range as Roosmalen throws a body kick.
Roosmalen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Clark moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Roosmalen scores a takedown into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Stefan Roosmalen will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Roosmalen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Clark!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Roosmalen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Clark trying desperately to get to his feet.
Roosmalen throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Clark blocking the ground and pound.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Roosmalen cracks Clark with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Clark is desperately trying to improve his position but Roosmalen has a good base and remains in mount.

Roosmalen wants to finish this one by submission but Clark is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Roosmalen.
Clark takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Roosmalen has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Clark's face.

Roosmalen wants to control the pace but Clark is squirming around nicely.

Roosmalen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Clark is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Clark and Roosmalen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The ground and pound from Roosmalen seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Stefan Roosmalen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Clark is looking to regain half guard here but Roosmalen keeps moving and retains side control.
Roosmalen tries to move into full mount but can't pass Clark's legs.
Clark manages to get back to half guard.
Roosmalen is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Roosmalen throwing shots but Clark is blocking nicely.

Roosmalen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Roosmalen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Clark is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Roosmalen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Roosmalen's back!
Roosmalen just looking to survive in the bad position.
Clark gets his hands free as Roosmalen looks to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


No joy there for Roosmalen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Roosmalen misses with a kick to the body.
Roosmalen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Clark was well out of range. Poor timing from Roosmalen.
Roosmalen swats away the attempt to clinch by Clark.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Clark enables Roosmalen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Clark manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Clark is trying to control the position but Roosmalen postures up.
Clark looking to hit a scissor sweep but Roosmalen is one step ahead there.
Clark not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Clark has his foot on Roosmalen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Roosmalen works his way back into a safe position though.

Roosmalen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Roosmalen lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Roosmalen is landing with some decent strikes but Clark is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Roosmalen softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Clark is out cold! Roosmalen jumps to his feet and celebrates on the ropes with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stefan Roosmalen!
