Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Moti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moti is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by DMX - We Right Here. Jon Moti is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jesse James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jon Moti!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moti fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging James to the ground. Moti is now in James's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Moti drops back, looking for a kneebar! James looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. James looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from James!
Moti is looking for a sweep.
James tries to stand but Moti is controlling his head.
Moti tries to bench press James off him but James keeps the position.
Moti is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Moti gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Moti looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Moti actively working from the bottom here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Moti looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
James tries to stand but can't do so whilst Moti controls his leg.

Moti is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but James pulls his head out easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moti is looking for a sweep. James is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
James tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

James escapes and gets back to his feet.
James throws a combination that misses
and Moti counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps James thinking.
James misses with a leg kick.
James throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Moti shoots in but no luck this time.
Moti fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A punch combination from James misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from James. Those never looked like landing.
Moti showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from James.
James looks to land a combination but Moti avoids it well.
James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Moti.
James will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
James throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Moti at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Moti fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jesse James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Moti.
James throws a right and a left that Moti avoids nicely.
James misses with a few strikes there.
James throws a series of strikes that have Moti backpedaling.


It looks like Jon Moti has been cut.
James tries to bum rush Moti with a series of wild strikes but Moti uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
James goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moti avoids a punch combination nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts James, as that shot connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesse James dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jon Moti's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Moti avoids a punch combination nicely.
James scores with a nice right hand.

Oooooh!!! James has knocked Moti down with a huge combo! James steps away and waves a wobbly Moti back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This has been an exciting period of action!
James is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Moti like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Moti from another fist facial!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesse James!
Jesse James seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
