Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Fioravanti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johns comes to the cage accompanied by Cocaine Blues. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johns closes the distance and clinches up with Fioravanti, looking for a takedown. Johns pushes Fioravanti against the cage but Fioravanti circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Johns is taking a breather. Fioravanti says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fioravanti moves out of range of the strikes.
Johns throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Fioravanti darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fioravanti seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Fioravanti is breathing heavily.
Johns is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Fioravanti pulls his head out easily.
Johns moves into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johns bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fioravanti's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Johns lands an elbow.
Fioravanti is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Johns tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johns has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Fioravanti's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Johns throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Fioravanti tries to lock up and control but Johns gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Johns thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Johns is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fioravanti is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
A nice elbow there by Johns.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johns, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
