Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cleto Rodriquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Pounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pounder has chosen Bliss N Eso-Field of Dreams as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cleto Rodriquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

24 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jim Pounder!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pounder throws an off balance right hand
and Rodriquez counters with a single leg into guard. Pounder didn't expect that.
Pounder looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pounder working for a triangle but Rodriquez defends it easily.
Rodriquez prevents Pounder from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pounder had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rodriquez defends it easily.
Pounder controls Rodriquez momentarily but Rodriquez frees himself.
Rodriquez is pushing down on Pounder's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pounder is fighting to maintain full guard but Rodriquez has managed to sneak the leg through.
Rodriquez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rodriquez wants to control but Pounder is keeping him busy.
Pounder is trying to stand back up but Rodriquez is controlling him
Pounder is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rodriquez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pounder looking for submissions off his back.
Pounder looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rodriquez throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rodriquez connects with a nice short shot to Pounder's temple.
Pounder is trying to stand up here but Rodriquez is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rodriquez connects with a nice short shot to Pounder's temple.

Pounder has hold of Rodriquez's hands but Rodriquez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pounder has one foot on Rodriquez's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Rodriquez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rodriquez wants it to stay on the feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rodriquez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pounder's waist but Pounder gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rodriquez off to one side.
Pounder pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

and Pounder counters with a single leg into guard. Rodriquez didn't expect that.
Pounder wants to stand and escape but instead Rodriquez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Rodriquez stands up over Pounder, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pounder wants to stand and escape but Rodriquez is having none of it.
Pounder keeping moving, preventing Rodriquez from controlling successfully.
Pounder is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rodriquez defends well.
Pounder wants to stand up but Rodriquez is controlling him.
Pounder looks gassed!
Rodriquez trying to control the position from guard on top but Pounder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Rodriquez stops Pounder from standing up.
Rodriquez cracks Pounder with a solid left hand.
Pounder scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Rodriquez with a poor takedown
and Pounder counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rodriquez's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cleto Rodriquez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rodriquez has his feet on Pounder's thighs here. He's pushed Pounder off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pounder screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
