The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva wants to control but Riley is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Riley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Riley manages to get himself to full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Riley can't keep his opponent in guard - Silva advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silva lands a nice short elbow.
Silva drops an elbow to the side of Riley's head.

Silva is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Riley sees it coming and defends easily.

Silva seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Riley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Silva works his way into full mount!
Riley takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Silva's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
