The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martinez has closed the distance and engaged Hernandez in a clinch.
Hernandez goes for a takedown in the clinch but Martinez prevents it.
A hook to the body from Martinez.

Martinez pulls Hernandez into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hernandez with a flurry of punches that miss.
Martinez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hernandez is one step ahead there.
Hernandez is looking to work some ground and pound but Martinez has wrist control.
Hernandez looking to sit in guard and control but Martinez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hernandez throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Hernandez is trying to hold Martinez in close to prevent damage but Martinez has managed to pass into half guard.
Hernandez is trying to control but Martinez passes into side control!
Hernandez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee asks Martinez politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Martinez prefers to stall for the moment though.
It looks like Martinez might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Hernandez is not content to let Martinez control the position.

Martinez stands up and beckons Hernandez to his feet.
Hernandez misses with a straight left.

Hernandez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Martinez was covering up waiting for the punch and Hernandez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hernandez postures up in Martinez's guard and throws a big left but Martinez blocks it.
Martinez is pulling down on Hernandez's head. It's preventing any offense from Hernandez, at least for the moment.

Martinez has his feet on Hernandez's thighs here. He's pushed Hernandez off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hernandez screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
